Who We Are
Christine Patrick Interiors is changing the way the Boise industry does interior design! While most designers partner with a builder to create cookie-cutter homes that all look identical, we are working to bring unique personality and life back to the homes we work on. When you reach out to us it’s quite simple; we get back to you. While remodeling or building a new home and selecting all the fixtures, finishes and furniture may sound stressful to you, it’s second nature and fun for us. We listen, respect your timeline and budget and help you define your style and the way you live best in your environment, by creating spaces you LOVE, spaces that help you to live your best life. And it can be fun, at least a little, along the way, too.
Meet Christine
From the time she was young, Christine knew she had a knack for design. As most kids play outside or ride bikes, Christine was drafting architectural house plans when she was just 10 years old. She pursued an Art History design degree as her undergrad and went back to school at the Seattle Art Institute to get her final degree in Interior Design.
After graduating, Christine spent her time working primarily with lighting + design, and she focused her skill and attention on commercial interior design projects for some of the Northwest’s largest companies, Microsoft, Expedia, AT&T, Slalom, and Pitchbook.
Now with experience in both residential and commercial interior design, Christine has nailed down and perfected her techniques. She specializes in listening to her clients and bringing their ideas to life into something that is beautiful yet still functional and won't go out of trend, making sure to incorporate heirlooms and infuse personality along the way!
Beyond interiors, Christine loves spending time with her husband and their four teens being active outdoors, or working in her garden. She’s been known to tell her husband to buy her power tools instead of diamonds, just as comfortable in hiking boots as in heels.
“An interior designer with a passion for integrating heirlooms and infusing your unique personality in a modern way.”
“I’m always in awe of the curated spaces that hit the mark on every design element. Space planning is like solving a puzzle, contemplating how all the elements fit together to make the most efficient use of the space. It’s almost impossible for me to walk into any interior space without thinking of moving walls, adding windows, raising the ceiling, adding lighting, removing all the carpeting, designing a new front door—my mind just starts reimagining every design element.”
Her Story
“While I always had a love for drawing space plans, rearranging rooms, and selecting fabrics, furniture, and wallpaper, I didn't think an 18 year old knew enough to really know what she wanted to do for a living. I had fallen in love with the sunny skies, beaches, and beautiful campus of the University of San Diego, and even though they didn't have an interior design/architecture program, the architecture and beautiful grounds at the school were enough reason for me to stay. I worked with my professors and took as many architecture related classes as possible, and ended with my senior thesis on The History of Kitchen and Bath Design, and an Art History Degree.
I still wasn’t ready to leave the beach life after graduation, so I worked for a while in a luxury home store in La Jolla. But a love of learning and a calling to pursue a career in Interior Design beckoned me, and going back to school didn't phase me, and so I made my way back up the West Coast to settle in Seattle (little did I know how much it rained there), where I earned a formal degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Seattle.
I got hired immediately upon graduation as a lighting designer and am eternally grateful for that experience. It taught me that lighting can really make or break a great space, properly highlighting finishes, or diminishing them. I worked for two different architecture firms doing commercial interior design and having a hand in everything—from small tenant improvements to the big names like Expedia, AT&T and Microsoft (just to name a few). We essentially wore the hats of the architect—were responsible for the architectural drawing sets, everything from reflected ceiling plans, exit plans and elevations, to the selection of the finishes, fixtures and furniture. My favorite part was always working with the client, developing the relationship as well as the scope, space planning for their needs, vision and style, and selecting the finishes that told their story. Working with contractors on the job site was another favorite of mine. I love the construction process and believe in the idea of a unified team between clients, contractors and designers. The projects that had a team approach always turned out the best.
While I still love walking into a well designed commercial space, my attention has turned towards residential and small business design. During the pandemic, we turned away from the office environment, and that's where my focus has stayed. I love being an integral part of the whole process, being on-site for new construction projects and remodels of all sizes, as well as space planning, selecting interior and exterior paint, lighting, finishes, and curating furniture, art, and accessories. I want to help my clients love their home and have it be a true reflection of their lifestyle and personality. Let me help you completely redesign or revive your space with new lighting, cabinetry, fixtures and updated accessories (art and framing are a speciality of mine). How do you use your family heirlooms in your current style?
Let’s design the kitchen of your dreams! Do you love to cook and bake or do you prefer to make reservations? Do you want a whole room dedicated to your home office, or is a nook off the kitchen better? Let’s change up your builder white walls for a beautiful color and wallpaper (yes it's back and awesome)! Better yet, call me when you're building and I will challenge you to NOT select 3x6 white subway tiles and instead find a solution that's just as timeless, yet reflects your personality and carries a unique style. Do you have a bathroom that's outdated, or just feels off and you can't put your finger on it? I can help with all of those overwhelming decisions like do we want a soaking tub or a walk-in shower, or both?! Your daughter wants a pink room, but you don't want it to look like Barbie threw up on her walls? I can help come up with solutions for all your home hurdles.”
